No automatic live incident alerts or background weather push service is connected. Updates are user-requested. A dedicated data feed and push service are needed for automatic alerts while closed.

Location permission
Only requested when you tap a location button. No continuous location tracking or background monitoring. Location requests may be blocked inside the editor’s embedded preview; test permission on the published app.

Your information, your control
Personal records are saved in Walkmate’s built-in key-value store, scoped privately to your signed-in account. The app does not store passwords or fingerprint data.
Community reports are public and dated. Submit observations, not private information. You can remove your own reports from the Community Reports screen.
AI questions are sent to the built-in AI service to generate responses. Avoid sensitive details. Walkmate does not save chat history.
Weather requests send selected coordinates to Open-Meteo. Maps and navigation open Google Maps. Those providers apply their own privacy policies. Device location is used only after permission.
Deleting records does not delete your authentication account. Account removal requires the app owner’s platform Users panel. No owner contact address was supplied; none has been invented.
Take Walkmate with you
Install the published web app on an Android home screen. Android packaging configuration and native local notifications are included for a future signed release.
You are using the browser version. No APK has been built or signed in this editor. Publishing to Google Play requires owner-controlled signing, a developer account and physical-device testing.

Which services are connected?
Email/password and Google login, private key-value storage and AI are built in. Weather and city search call Open-Meteo through server functions. Official public health publications call WHO through a server function. Worldwide maps, address search, ATMs and real directions open Google Maps. Audio is synthesized locally.
What needs owner setup?
For report moderation, add REPORT_VERIFICATION_SECRET (a random 32+ character secret) in Secrets; owner permission is checked on the server. Embedded Maps requires enabling Maps in Add-ons. Fingerprint sign-in needs an authentication provider supporting biometric account access. No paid service is automatically subscribed to. Review Open-Meteo’s commercial licence before monetizing the app. Android signing and device tests are described in ANDROID.md in the project.
Will this work without internet?
An already-loaded app can run breathing exercises and synthesized music without internet. Login, saving or reloading account records, new AI responses, weather and official alerts need internet. The app does not cache private records for offline storage. Closed-app medication notifications require the native Android package.
